My trip to UL.

I was reading a little bit about the Large Mouth at UL and watched a fellow BFT'er catch a few out of his boat last week and decided that I better give it a go. Knowing that I don't know jack shit about Bass or how to catch them, I intended on my trip being more of a learning lesson than an actual catching lesson. It turns out it was a little bit of both. I caught two Bass on giant wooly buggers that I tied up to (hopefully) imitate cray fish. I don't know how good of a job I did there, but I did manage to snag two out from the cover, about 12 inches from the shoreline.


This guy measured 16" and was pretty fat. I have no idea if Bass are normally wide around the belly, but this fellow seemed very well fed.


This was his little brother. I don't think I can tell the difference between a LM Bass and a SM Bass, but I assumed this is just a younger LM -- anyone confirm? I didn't get a measure on this one, but for his size, he put up a pretty good fight.
