[#0000ff]I use small whole perch as "minnows" for all of the above. I also use fillets and strips from larger perch and even small bits of perch meat to tip the jigs I fish for crappie and cats. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Walleyes are especially fond of perch fillets with the skin intact. The cats like perch fillets cut in half...using about 1-2" chunks. Early in the year, before the shad have spawned and become more plentiful, you will also pick up a few wipers that are forced to subsist on crawdads and smaller species before the shad take off.[/#0000ff]
