Perch search heads North
#12
Well now I really hope you continue to have good success since I'm largely responsible for your investment. I still need to get my license this year though. With the warming weather, I think I will get it soon. There really are a lot of places to choose from, it's nice to have so much variety in one area, though sometimes it makes it harder to learn a place well as you keep wanting to try the others.

There is indeed talk of planting some more musky up there. There are a few left in some of the reservoirs from the last stockings in 2006, but not many.

Glendale turns downright murky in the summer with all the boat traffic. It really reminds me a lot of Newton with it being crowded and long and skinny. I've fished it quite a bit less than the other waters in the area because of this, but I'm hoping to really explore it this spring looking for prespawn largemouth.

The perch had a really amazing spawn the last two years up in that area. All the fish were extremely healthy last fall. The bass were looking especially fat.[inline "fatty magoo small.JPG"]
I'm very curious to see what they look like prespawn if they were that chubby in September [Smile]
