Fish finder recommendations

[cool][#0000ff]A lot of us like the Humminbird products. Some of us have the dual beam Humminbird 565...which has been discontinued and the new model is the 561. The Humminbird Fishin Buddy series is popular too. But they do not usually show as much detail as some of the other models.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I am attaching a PDF file which will be part of the new Buyers Guide I am putting together. You may want to look up the websites for Humminbird and Lowrance. Also, look at both the Cabelas and Basspro websites. They have a lot of sonars and good info on the various features.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Basically, from a tube or toon you want depth, temp guage and good fish identification. No need for speed readings or depth to a half mile. Having good grayscale helps with understanding bottom composition and structure. You have to play with them to learn how to read them.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]As a general rule, the higher the watts the better the display...in real time. Some of the least expensive units on the market are guilty of displaying lots of false fish readings, etc.[/#0000ff]
