well if fishing from shore you probably got the shad lures covered with what you mentioned . . id have a rod you can cast a mile, and bring in a 10 lb cat too . . .a long med rod perhaps, and a reel that holds a lot of line . . . for lures get some jigs of different types first, theyre cheap and catch alot of different fish . .get some small tube jigs, maribou jigs, light and dark, different sizes . . .

get good baitholder hooks in different sizes for holding the anchovie, shrimp or whatever youre gonna use for bait . . .and some little hooks for panfish, crappie, bluegill . . .

after that maybe a few plastic worms, spinnerbaits, inline spinners, a rapala or two . .and youre about ready for anything . .
