Don't know yet, but we will make mention of it a tomorrow's monthly meeting. I'm sure that you know you will have to obtain a permit from the park service which will require a liability insurance policy of $1,000,000 in order to hold a contest on Lake Mead. They don't mess around out there either. Groups from California have tried to hold pirate tourney's in the past and have been fined and run off the Lake. We pay over 1,200 a year to hold our monthly tournaments and we are about 20 members away from paying twice that.
It's really not too hard to get the permit but it take about 60 days to obtain. If you generate enough interest and would like to go forward with it, I will point you in the right direction to make it happen. Off hand I would say there are at least 10 NSC members that would fish it if it came to be. I would have to dust off the old Cadis and repair the waders but would be in for sure.
