I Broke my GL2 a few years ago, called customer service, for $50.00 and no questions asked they sent me a new rod Fed Ex, had to give them a credit card to hold on file, once i received the new rod, I had 30 days to send my old one back or they would charge my card. They even paid for the return shipping. From what I have been told Shimano recently bought them out and since then the warranty is not what it used to be.
