My heartfelt condolances to the family of the slain officer first off then for all the other wounded officers and their loved ones. May The Almighty bring them peace. I do feel for the family of the shooter as well but can't find feelings in my heart for him.
It's really too bad that the police didn't keep shooting. We'd all have been better off. As it is, all of us are now faced with untold thousands of tax dollars defending one that is by all that is right, undefendable. Add to that the cost of incarceration and it's conceivable that the entire tax burden of a couple of Utah families will be spent for what?
What we need in this country is to adopt the idea that if a person chooses to violate the laws, they automatically forfeit all right to protection under them. Kinda a tough stance but it would sure end a lot of that appeal, appeal ad nauseum crap and disgusting scum like that Allgier piece of feces would get their due. I wonder just how many new schools, hospitals, roads etc. we could build with the money we'd save?
