You know it's almost ice fishing time here in Utah. I will also try them at the Gorge. But, I'm also going to N Fla for two weeks in Jan and would love to give them a shot on big Jacks and stud Grouper. If I don't get them, send them to Fishry, or another Utah'rd. I'd love to know how they work at the Gorge on the big Macks.
The first picture is of me with a large Black (Gag or Copperbelly depending on where you hail from) Grouper, I caught this summer off Pensacola Fla. in 230' of water using an 8oz, flouresent green jig head with a 9" Octopus tenticle rigged on the end like a plastic tube jig. I was using a Shimano TLD 20, spooled with 25# Tuff line with 50# florocarbon leader. It took 20+ minutes to land the fish and he tried to cut me off numerous times in the reef. I had the drag almost maxed out trying to stop him.
The second picture is of my buddies sister that was fishing with us. I addded it because she's single...hint...hint.
