when braided line first hit the spotlight i fell in love with the spiderwire braid, caught more catfish and bass than i can even remember on that stuff. The one downside to it that i found was if you fish alot it will wear out your gear, line guides on reels and the eyes on your rods. It cut through them on many of my favorite rods and reels.
"]

I found Spiderwire to be just that! It was like wire and it cuts thru guides something aweful..,However PP doesnt seem to do that.
Also Ive been trying out the Cajun Braid product and so far its good enough to do the job but it doesnt last as long as PP...and it has a good deal of wax on it that comes off on the guides...but for 5 bucks for 150 yrds...its hard to beat.
Also i pretty much use red line exclusively...supposedly the red is supposed to be invisible in water at a shallower depth than other colors...I really dont know about that but it works great and I havent noticed any issues...if needs be I will use a mono or flouro leader but honestly dont need to very often.
