Rumor has it the massive runnoff this past spring flushed a lot of the crappie through and over the dam, and the cold water the last 2 springs put the kaibosh on the spawn. It'll be a while before the crappie fishing gets hot again, but the fish will be big this spring and summer. At least that is what I am hearing from the experts. I know we caught a ton of crappie below the dam this summer and fall.
