Ardent is made in the USA and all components in anything with the name Ardent is 100% produced in the States. The Evercast is a brand from Avid Angler which is an import company that is affiliated with Ardent. They realized that they couldn't sell $200 college reels so they decided to keep the idea and not let some other foreign manufacture take the idea from them and start an import company to offer the lower priced reels.
