Man this is a sore spot with me. In Japan, we had anglers that fished for one species of fish and no other. They would return 'their' species to the water while digging a pit and filling it with other species no matter what. The utter selfishness of that act caused an number of anglers there to cringe in fear as I used my best gangster Japanese to threaten making them look like the fish they needlessly murdered.
If a waterbody or watershed needs to rid itself of carp or other undesirable species, it's up to the authorities to do something! If there is a bouny per fish (like some species in Japan) that is also reasonable. But the selfish pieces of garbage that only want their species in the water ......
You can tell I don't feel strongly about this issue. ha ha ha!
