I predict the fishing will slow every week until the January 1st closing. The oxygen will depleat, the pressure will get to the fish and it will become very tough with every passing day. I won't have much time to get back up there for a couple weeks, but it will be interesting to see the future reports.
I love my jawjackers. I know the inventor Matt Dungan. He is a top notch guy and has really spent a lot of time working on his invention. The main thing you have to do to get them to work well is get the jawjacker adjusted for your rod length and then make sure the trigger mechanism is completely ice free. If water gets splashed on it. Blow on the trigger and then shake it to air dry it. The 27"er was caught on the jawjacker. As with all things it doesn't work all the time. We had times when hand jigging worked better. I think I am going to get some jigger totters for those times.
