I do know of a meathod for removing meat in bony fish,I never tried on a carp,but if you use a spoon or icecream scooper you can scrape of the meat,sharpen edges for best results,also remove any left over skin for best results, "fish cakes anyone",I've heard of this meathod for cleaning Tarpon,I've used this meathod myself on a Bonefish, and Ladyfish,wich are also bony
