So I put the hurt on a deer tonight with my .280! 153 yard shot very uphill. it was quarting away hard i made a perfect shot entered right in the middle of the ribs down low on the brisket on its left side and exited high in the shoulder blade on the right side it hunched and bucked real hard when it was hit. i thought it was a big doe when i shot. i soon found different when i walked up the hill to find it. turned out it was a small buck with no head gear at all not even nubs. he was out in the middle of a field and i had nothing to judge size by but he still weighed just over 100 lbs. well five more points for DDAHL and i. now i can focus on my buck tag. hopefully i get to do it with the bow. and i hope DDAHL has another buck tag cause im gonna have to kill a brute if im gonna get us in the lead. here is the pic.
