I suggest something like this.

thats not a bad reel you have selected, but you might want to concider the

this is the newer model of the same reel I have in the above pic. The reel above is 20+ years old and is used by me summer and winter.

the rod is a sports fisher telscopic, 5'6"
this rod is nearly 35 years old and has battled many a cat and carp so its duribility and reliability has stood the test of time.. Might I also add, I fish more than the adverage angler.

the closest rod that I can find on the market today that best resembles mine is Shakespeare Telescopic Travel Rod it comes in a combo, for the price I would get it and put the better reel on it and hand the reel that came with it to the next kid I see.
