Spinning beginner needs some help

hi, thanks for the reply.

i searched a bit in basspro.com and pretty soon i realized i won't find what i'm looking for.
eventually after a lot of thought put into it i came to a conclusion that i want a 9' rod, medium with fast or moderate action, with lures weight of 1/4-above 1 is better.
the basspro didn't provide the goods

i got three rods i found on the internet today, and it would be great if i can get an opinion on them..
shakespeare SP1186-2M or SPS 1186-2M
both are 8.6', medium, 1/8-58.
the third one is SST-S-862M from okuma with roughly the same spec...
if anyone can recommend something else that would be great (9' would be better than 8,6')..
after choosing a rod i will need some help understanding how to match a reel too
