Gorgeous Yellowstone cutts--not a bad haul for two hours on the water!
I was mountain biking with a friend in that general area Saturday and saw a bear, as well. We caught the rail trail that runs from Ashton to West Yellowstone (we started near Mack's Inn).
We crossed paths with a juvenile black bear during the afternoon return trip. It was drinking/playing in a puddle in the middle of the dirt road, but scattered as soon as it saw us. Given the large amount of ATV/dirt bike traffic on the road, we were surprised.
