coastal bear and fishing

I went to POW this year but on the south east side of the island. We have done DIY hunt/fish both times. The salmon are pretty scarce in the spring but the rock and yellow eye fishing is fabulous. We have also caught a few halibut. With the drastic tide changes bear hunting is slow on high tide so that's when we would dropp a line. As far as the bear hunting goes I'm not sure you can top it. We found out from the first trip that a boat is a neccesity.I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Pm me if you would like.
