[cool][#0000ff]The sores are probably anchor worms. They are a skin parasite and do not affect the flesh or edibility. But they look nasty. [b][#0000ff]Here in Utah we call them "pizza-sides".[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Yes, the warmth of the water is a big factor. When the water temps get above about 70 degrees the skin slime loses its ability to ward off some intrusions. But when the water cools the fish will return to normal appearance. Water temps in Starvation rarely get above 70 but when they do the fish go to cooler and deeper zones. We also do not get the pea soup on Starvation that is so icky on SFCR.[/#0000ff]
