Don't ever under estimate a carp. Bass will not run off a lot of line and a cat will find something to run into and snag you up. A carp will slug it out 'till the end like no other fish. They are big and strong and will eat a spinnerbait or crankbait or jig or plastic worm or just about anything a bass will eat. The funny thing is, they're not nearly as dumb as a bass so you don't catch them that often on bass baits. Although they are a sucker for chewed up Fritto's.
