When my dog got hit by a car 1 1/2 years ago, the dept. or animal services found her and brought her remains back home to me. A few days later in the mail they sent me a condolence package, and included was a copy of that poem, I still cry when I read it. Even though I have a new pal, my lab lillie. I still tear up!!! I was trying to find that to post it, but I am glad you did, cause I wanted make a nice copy of that poeem and frame it under a picture of my old dog.
