I've been out a couple of times now since tying up FG's chironomid patterns with absolutely no success. In fact yesterday I went up to Huntington Res and pulled the skunk (I had a few light hits on a double renegade but otherwise...)
So, I 've been fishing in 12 - 15 feet of water and trying to get my flies 1 -2 feet off the bottom (under an indicator). I've been anchored so I shouldn't have been moving much.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, either on chironomidding or lake fishing in general from a pontoon. I've caught some nice fish this year from my boat, but without any kind of regularity.
