I know exactly what you did wrong.
you spooled the reel with the wrong type of line.
I suggest you pull all that line off of the reel and toss it.
then get your self some silver thread n40... "personal prefferance"
there are different grades of line, and they are used for different applications. what you have on your reel is used primarialy for trolling with bait casting reels.
if you would have said that you get an ocational tangle I would have said it is because of line twist caused from not using a barrol swivil on your lures.
