Where are you spear heading this project from, and how do you intend on collecting donations from "other than local" areas. I suspect you'll find lots of people willing to donate, but no so motivated to pay shipping.
Also, has this game plan been coordinated with other scout troops accross the US? So, in other words, if I call the local scout troops, they won't be like: "what the hell are you talking about?" LOL [
] Would the local scout troops, granted they are in on the gig, be willing to collect the gear and deal with the logistics.
Once all that is sorted out, I may have some gear i'd be willing to part with, for the cause.
