It's Walleye time at SFCR!
#45
I didn't make up the info I posted. It was not created by me or anyone I know. I found it on the web. It points out that tournaments DO have delayed mortality. In fact it is a HIGH delayed mortality for at least two different species. I can understand that you don't want info like that out. It doesn't do anything good for YOUR pastime.
I am sorry that the info does not look favorably on your sport. I never even considered until you started something. Harvesting fish is a personal thing to everyone. I caught well over 200 catfish last year. I kept two.
I caught well under 20 walleye last year I kept EVERY ONE. This year I caught about 20 crappie. I kept ALL of them. I will most likely will start catfishing now that the water is backing off a bit and it is more safe to float the river. I doubt I will catch more than 20 walleye again this year. If I do you can bet I am going to keep every one. Now more than any other reason because a walleye snob wants me to throw them back. I might have to take and teach a few more guys how to catch them. They will have you to thank. Ron
