I've topwatered with frogs for LMB which are between 8"-10" average. I haven't tried for crappie at the time I was up there last summer. There are also bluegill and bullhead catfish.
The lake gets really weedy during the summer and is not very deep. But a 17' bass boat will work. I saw one being launch as I was leaving the last time I was out there.
With all the weeds, topwater frogs worked well but you should also find some bass back in the bullrushes. Throw a weightless senko rigged texas style (weedless) or weed guarded jig with a craw in as far as you can into the reeds . Best to use atleast 30 lb braid ( a short flouro leader will work for jigging), a medium heavy rod and a baitcaster or conventional reel that can pull a stump to get the bass out to the weeds.
I was kayak fishing but NDOW boating regs state:
Boating Regulations - A vessel must be operated at a speed that leaves a flat wake, but in no case may a vessel be operated at a speed in excess of 5 nautical miles per hour. All vessels and floating devices are prohibited during the waterfowl season.
There is a gate you must close behind you when you enter. Its a primative area with no drinking water and one chemical toilet inside the gate. No camp fires are allowed nor camping. The limit is 10 LMB and 10 Bullhead Catfish. There is a sort of a boat launch under the large cottonwoods on the south side of this 200 acre lake. The north end of the lake is closed to all watercraft and is marked by buoys and past the old fence line it is closed to trespass from Feb 15-Aug 15.
The area is referred to the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area and you can read about at:

Good luck and tight lines.
