Its not just a tilapia,its a Blue Tilapia,100% sure.I'm in your hometown Fl,but i'm down south,a true southern boy,I've caught 2 ,I snagged them at night in the glades using spotlight,I see them nesting near the banks in canals down here,yea,I hear retrieving a live worm slow on the bottom,would get them,did you use any weight?a nightcrawler?I had to cheat to catch mine,also got a big one on castnet some time ago,did you eat it? the ones I got had their fry in mouth,I raised them to an inch and let them go.I ate their parents[angelic]my big guy was 3lb.12ounce,and the other just under 3.Congratulations,..I can't believe out of all these guys,I get outfished by a girl.![[Image: sleeping.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/sleeping.gif)
I thought I had the only Blue Tilapia pics.Mine were'nt so blue from living in the glades murkywaters but I've seen them really blue like yours in clearer waters.Must of faught like heck,hu..I ve eaten the red tilapia before along with these.They are a little gamey for my taste.
