Road(s) to Government Wash
#1

Awhile back, I went to Crawdad Cove and I saw a sign that said "Government Wash". Another mile or so down the road I seem to remember seeing another sign that said the same thing.

So are there two turnoffs to Gov't Wash, or is my memory totally wrong? If there are two, which is the one most people use, best parking, etc. Also, is it the first turnoff after you get on to Northshore Rd? (or 2nd or 3rd)

How about the road itself. Is it anything like that bumpity-bump Crawdad Cove road? My little car cannot take that kind of bouncing around.

Finally, how is the parking? Is it fairly close to the water, or is there a long walk involved? I realize that once you get there you might walk up and down the shoreline hunting for fish, but how is it, say, compared to the 33 Hole? I don't mind a long walk, but I'd prefer it sorta level.

I went to 33 today and don't think I want to make that climb again while the weather's so hot.

Thanks for any replies.
