if your in the Down Florida Way, I would say what the other guys are saying. I have some buds that will pack a few home when they go out in mid florida.They like them pretty well, even tho they dont target tallapia they say if they have any size to them they dont mind cleaning up a mess.
here is an example of where it is caught from that has a lot to do with the species.
in this photo below there are 4 different gill species caught out of the same hole in the ice. "long ear, short ear, sunfish and roach, the two on the bottom are crappie. "click to enlarge"
