I have caught many a bass with out a boat right off shore, and if there is a place where you can wade in on a hot day, thats even better..

good luck let us know how you do,

bytheway, grab your self a yellow rooster tail on the way, fairly inexpencive but vary productive with bass. "it is an artificial spinner bait"
