Cut the bait up at home before you go. Cut in sizes you plan to fish with then put in a plastic container add an attractant and freeze.
When you get to the lake just grab a piece you want and cast. Take about 10 pre-cut bags for the day.
2 bags of chum to start with, this should bring the stripers to you within an hour or less.
Then every 10-15 minuets toss a few pieces for chum.
If you don't try this I will continue to read your post about only a few fish today [:p]
You should be getting 20 to 30 fish days now, from shore.
Gov. wash is a hot ticket right now, top water in the AM then bait fish all day. Action will pick up around 4:30-5 and until sunset. The night bite will also produce fish as well.
