Bmarsh,

It's a huge safety issue. If the wind catches my boat and the bow turns it swings 4' over the dock. Someone could really get hurt. Have you ever tried to dock while some parent who doesn't watch their children is AWOL and their kids are all over the dock. I've sat out in the water for over 30 minutes waiting on kids that were completely clueless to the danger. I've seen kids and their parents knocked around by boats that were caught by the wind trying to clear them while fishing the end of the dock. This isn't a joke. I have huge marks in my boat where someone lost control while bringing their boat in and it climbed up the transom of my boat. It's very serious when as a captain, you are responsible for people who shouldn't be there.
