New to tubeing

Thanks for the welcome a boards. I have been doing a lot of searching on here and reading and can only say WOW! Kinda wish I had gotten here before getting my tube but one thing for certain is after being out in my tube I do understand some of the post and suggestions better than I would have with out prior knowledge. Already have decided on getting another tube and I am making plans for it. I have decided to go with the ODC 420. The first thing that caught my eye about the tube was the maneuverability issue. Which is a bit trying in the tube I have now. The next is after looking on the net and finding everything I could is how much better the seating is in the ODC 420. I don't have a problem being wet in fact in the summer that part feels good but I have a bad back and the tube I now have doesn't help my back out like I thought it would. But I am not complaining cause I will still use it till I get my ODC one but do see the need for the change.
Before winter gets here I am sure that I want to learn more about how to prepare and dress in winter so that I can tube during that time as well. My Son is trying to talk me into a Kayak but I really like being in the tube and if I can fish comfortably in the winter too. then I see no need for a boat of any kind. Right now my first concern is getting a good pair of Flippers that I can use with the sock waders and swimming shoes. The ones I got are a hard rubber or plastic type material and they really are very uncomfortable on my feet and if I want to go any distance they put blisters across my toes from rubbing. So this will be a must do item I need to get now. So any suggestions I am open to.
Thanks again for the welcome and I know when I start getting ready to trick out my tube I will have more question and maybe some input of ideas. Bent Poles to all. Pop
