i've often wondered why they do that? i've only observed it at lake mead they dont jump like that at sunset park, or lorenzi park, nore any lakes/ponds i've been to in washington that hold carp. its crazy how they come flying completely out of the water like a mini whale. if they ever figured out to implement those acrobatics into thier fight our sucess rates would tremendously decrease i think. but i have seen this behavior in early spring, through late summer. must do some research on our "redneck bonefish" lol
