So I hit Sportsman's, and had backing, line and reel in hand. Was looking for tippet / leader and realized I didn't really know what the hell I was really looking for, lol. Saw a combo from the corner of my eye and went if for a closer look.
It had a 5/6 weight 8' long rod, a reel, backing, line and leader on the reel, and came with 6 different types of flies as well as a cool little handbook explaining knots and basic casts. I scratched my head when I saw the $30 price point, and looked down at the stuff in my arms that I'd pay $40 for, and put it all back. I grabbed the combo and some floatant that I'm not sure I'll even need, paid for it and left.

Now, whether I made the right decision or not, I don't know...but the value was definitely there as far as what was included and who doesn't need an extra rod? lol
