The reel can be fine, the rod is glass, so going to be a bit heavy and slower action so you will have to slow down your casting.
I prefer to teach with glass because it does teach you to slow down and wait for the line to unfold.
Not sure of the weight of the reel, but a heavier reel to balance out the rod is nice. You do not want the rod to be tip heavy, that will really tire you out.
NOW, the line...no! That is a running line. It has no taper, you add shooting heads to this.
If you want a floating line on a budget, may I suggest this:
