there is also the alumacraft boats deep vee's in the navigator and dominator series. for what you said i think you could go the 17 footer route. also what ever boat you get g3 ,bayliner, etc...or what ever make sure it has a shallow enough draft for ya. here are those alumacraft i was talking about.
