There has been very little snow melt so far year. The crews plowing the south entrance of Yellowstone have encountered 14 feet of snow on the road near Lewis canyon. Here in Jackson you can still ski Snow King from the top all the way to the parking lot !! The total snowfall at Raymer plot was over 670" for the season. There is still a 158" base at 9000 feet. They could empty Pali
es and fill it twice with all the snow that is still up high. When the runoff starts, if it ever does, Expect very high, very dirty rivers, lots of debris floatng around Palies. This is going to be a very ugly year, especialy on the South Fork.
