I know I just probably Ebay these, but I got them for free.
Have any of you ever seen the old iron window weights?
They are about a foot long, inch and half around, and have a molded hole. They are 5#'s and if you drop them fast enough, they stick in the mud and hold you quite well.
I have about a half dozen or so if any body wants one.
