I agree with Belasko. Psanders had some really good points. Many of the fish we fish for are non-native especially in Ririe. Take for example the lower salmon falls dam. There have been walleye in there for many years. They have NEVER! taken a stronghold in the snake either above or blow the dam. Both ends of the reservior are much warmer water compared to the SF of the snake. My opinion: What are you gonna do about it? There is no way fisherman can tame them in a reservior as large as ririe. Second you cannot throw money at the situation! Walleye will populate ririe and thats that. This reminds me of the same story Lake Powell had with the introduction of stripers. [#00ff00]THEY WILL BECOME A FISH OF CHOICE FOR THE ANGLERS OF RIRIE RESEVIOR.[/#00ff00] Goood fishing boys good fishing!!![/quote]
I want the Crystal Ball that you apparently have.
End of the day Don is spot on, No reason in Idaho that we should be encouraging or promoting fish that aren't native here. Would be funny to see some of you guys get your salmon stepped on by someone introducing fish into the head waters that eat up there fry. While its going on have the rest of us say, no they are great fish I love to catch them screw your salmon.
