I'm definitely interested in birch creek - just not entirely sure about access roads and such. I've seen it along 28 on my way to Salmon several times, but that road is so damn long and boring, I have a hard time not relating it to work, lol.
According to the F&G map of waters, it ends right around 33, and first sign of it next to 28 is at the curve about 15 or 20 miles after the junction past Mud Lake. It's a pretty long stretch of water and I've never fished it - could you suggest an area on it for me?
As for fly fishing, I've set that as my goal for next year. With a family budget and such, that's about the earliest I'll be able to pick up equipment for it. It's always intrigued me, but I've never used a fly rod in the past. This year the goal is an edible 5 pounder I can cook up for the kids.
