Echo Canyon
#7
I've fished Key Pttman from a kayak but mostly for LM bass. These bass average only about 8-10" so they are small compared to going another 60 miles north to Sunnyside such as Adams-McGill or Haymeadow.

NDOW did recently plant white crappie and bluegill but the bluegill are not doing so well. I saw several bluegill floating on the water. There is also black bullhead catfish in Key Pittman.

However, KP/Nesbitt Lake gets really weedy by the beginning of summer and its best to fish from a small boat between Febuary to June. There is not alot of shoreline fishing available with all the high reeds. KP is closed to boat fishing during waterfowl season. There is no camping available and only a chemical toilet near the entrance. Its one mile north of Hiko and you have an entrance gate that must remain closed once entering into the area
