What do you think of a soft side type trailer? A frame could be built from emt with racks for the toons and bolted to a flat trailer bed. Then the whole thing could be enclosed with a heavy duty waterproof tarp. An upholstery shop could put in zippers at the right places. That would keep the toons in if they went limp. Also help with wind resistance, debris, bird doop, prying eyes, rain and snow.
Just my 2 cents worth.
I am worried about the support for the front. Is there screws from the plywood into the 1x4?
Another worry. I just took my new trailer with two toons and all the gear for a 450 mile trip. Over mountains and into valleys. From 4400 feet elevation to 700 foot. My toons went from firm to saggy a couple of times. With the Yakima racks I am sure my toons would have fell through on the trip. Ron
