Not really. The batteries are under the toon over the axle. In the storage box are the fishfinder, Storage bags for the toons, pump, rod holders, and one anchor. All waders and flippers are in a separate bag that fits in the rear of the car. The life vests go inside as well as the tackle. I also took the spare and attached it to the main trailer and not on the which lightens the load as well. With the Nitro I really don't notice the trailer. Since it was built on a Jeep Liberty frame.
