Here is some of the information from 2001-2007. Yes, I am sure other factors are involved also, principally low water levels. Looking at the data you can see a direct correlation in the number of cutts going up to spawn and the Pelican numbers. The newer chart that I don't have a copy of shows the rise in cutt numbers and the number of pelicans drops. Also better water years which help the fish escape the birds.
