I have a nice little 3wt fly rod that I would love to put on some bluegill if I could find a nice spot.. The chum balls I made and posted pics of are supposed to pull in the 'gills too. It's the reason I am trying them out. I really nice bull bluegill on a light weight fly rod is some of the funnest fishing out there for me

Anyhow... this is the first year I am making a concerted effort to fish mead. I am fishing different areas, and trying to get out as much as I can. If I find any decent bluegill spots I will share them with you guys.. at least by PM anyways [

I have read a lot of info that says the bluegill fishing is really good late spring/early summer. I have not experienced this myself however.
