Yeah I thought the same thing too originally, hard to buy anything but their boron. I like having a couple really fast rods for windy days and sinking lines, but its a lot more enjoyable to me to fish slower rods. They are so much more fun to cast!

Anyway, The GVX is not fast IMO. It is rated as a fast action but I would but it right above the Wt in action. Slower then the Biix. Its a sweet stick for a great price and it is made in Montana.
