Best shot at LMB?
#3
I think they are both good options. If you were going out tomorrow I would say Mead, only cuz you will have more area and clearer water to search for the bedding bass. However, I have done pretty well bassin' at Floyd Lamb, not recently however. For the past 7 or 8 years when I go to Floyd Lamb I usually catch their carp on my fly rod. Before that though, I used to bring my spinning rod out there once in a while. I generally threw natural looking plastic spinnerbaits if memory serves on an ultra light rig. I landed one near the tule's in the 3 to 4lbs range when I first moved to Vegas.

I have also seen some really nice bass come out over the years at FL. I saw a guy catch what prob would of been a state record sunfish and toss it back cuz he was fishing for catfish. I still can't believe that fish got that huge jighead he was fishing with in it's mouth.

The upper pond is the most pressured, though all 4 ponds have mature bass in them. The populations have to be good 'cuz I am constantly catching tiny little bass when I am carp fishing..

Hope that helps..
